Living outside of town in the high desert, we have left behind light pollution during the night. And now, a whole new world has been revealed.

The trees cast shadows in the light of the full moon. And in the spring, the flowers bloom in the bright night beneath the stars. Everything is cast in a dusky purple sheen. A night garden.

This shawl begins as a half round, and then is increased along both sides of the two inner spines of leaves and on the inside along the outer spines of leaves. It is bound off with a “crochet” chain using knitting needles and blocked so that it curves around your shoulders in a leafy embrace.
