In this sweater, I wanted to focus on the linear elements that make me buzz with joy when I see the prairie, the way the rows of corn and grain line up and radiate away as you drive by. These rows of grain, geometric and organic at the same time, always make me feel like the center of some cosmic plan.

The sweater body is worked flat in pieces, with shaping worked at shoulders and saddle. After these pieces are complete, they are seamed together, and sleeves are picked up and knit out from the body in the round, with German short rows used to shape the sleeve cap. Finally, a neckband is picked up and worked in
the round.
