This toy is worked flat in pieces and seamed. The stitches are all simple but take your time with sewing up carefully for a neat finish.

Yarn
4-ply (fingering) yarn in
A 10g red
B 10g black
C 10g white
D 20g beige
E 10g yellow-green
F a small amount of yellow

Needles
3.5mm straight

Other supplies
• A stitch holder
• 2 pairs of 6mm black mushroom-shaped eye beads or safety eyes
• Black cotton thread
• Red craft pompoms
• Fabric glue
• Toy stuffing
• Pink pastel
• Tapestry needle
• All-purpose sewing needle
• scissors

50g per 185m, 100% polyester

Tension
28 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10cm over St st (not essential)

Practical tips
• Leave long ends at the beginning and end for sewing.
• Sew the seam with RS facing, using mattress stitch.
• If you do not wish to use beads, embroider eyes with black yarn.
