A pretty little dress for Sasha that is an easy knit. It uses about 1 ounce of a DK weight yarn. Since it is knit top-down, there are only two ends to weave in when finished. There are four buttons on the back opening so the doll can be dressed easily, too.

This pattern can be modified to use as a sweater, tunic or longer dress. Colorwork could be added to the skirt, too. A close-up photo of the pink dress shows the two raglan stitches knit in stockinette rather than garter stitch. Two different hemline patterns are included.

Having knit the samples with three different yarns, I found that a gauge of 5 sts or 5.5 sts or 6 sts to the inch didn’t alter the fit of the dress on Sasha.
