Looking for a weekend project? And one that uses your stash fiber? Pick your favorite soft worsted weight yarn and work this cowl into something that is uniquely yours.
You can really mix it up as you go or you can pick a main color, approximately 160 yds., and add the other colors in the purl details. The combos can be endless!
The first three pictures show some handspun (approx 55 yds) in the wider purl detail that was done in a larger needle size because of the variation in the fiber width. The smaller purl detail (approx 25 yds) was done in the size 7 that was suggested in the fiber label.
Mix and match it as you like.
It can even be reversible if you take care in working in your ends.
Saturn’s Rings Cowl can also be paired with our Pulsar hat if you are looking to make a matching set. The edge pattern is the same in both.
Who says winter garments are drab? This easy project will brighten any day and keep you warm as well.
