You will need three 50g balls in the main colour and one 50g ball in the contrast colour In addition you will need 40 inches of ribbon cut into 4 for decoration and three buttons for the back of the cushion..A cushion pad to fit is also required, probably 16 inches

Tension is not critical in this piece ; however I feel that cushions ( and intasaria) should not be too loose in tension, so if necessary use the smaller needle.

Although fiddly I found it neater to use 2 small balls of contrast to start the legs; it’s only for a few rows and it does look better. This would not be so important if you use a dark colour as the main.
This is a reasonably quick project that makes a great gift for a dog lover or anyone with Scottish ancestry.
