For the dog ganseys:
160 (300) g Frangipani 5 ply wool
pair 3.75 mm (US 5) needles

For the hats:
80 (100, 120, 140) g Frangipani 5 ply wool
pair 3.75 (3.75, 4, 4)mm (US 5 (5, 6, 6) needles

For either:
cable needle
row counter
stitch markers

Sizes
The smaller size will fit dogs with a similar body size to a Scottie, including Westies, Poodles, Border Terriers etc. The larger size will fit dogs with a similar chest size to a Border Collie, including Lerchers, German Shepherds, Boxers etc. Note that the fabric round the chest is stretchy and the back and leg lengths are easily adjustable to fit other breeds
