“Seasons” Is an over sized 1/2 Pi Shawl, fondly referred to as a “House Cozy” on the Criminal Knits Group.

The pattern is being released as an MKAL which will start on May 11th and run for 10 weeks and is being hosted on the Criminal Knits Group.

This is a LACE SHAWL. Never knitted lace before? Feeling adventurous? Want a shawl that’s roughly the size of a circus tent? Then come join us!

Materials:
Yarn: NO LESS THAN 1172 yds of fingering weight yarn. If you’re not very tall you might want to use lace weight and go down a needle size or two!
No variegates. You want to use a tonal, solid or a SLOW COLOR CHANGING yarn. Or even 2 Slow Color Changing yarns that look good together. (which is what I did. If you do this please note that you will use one entire skein first before going on to the second one, so be sure they feed one in to the other nicely!). Apple Tree Knits or Wolle’s Color Changing Cotton are two awesome sources for long slow color changing yarns.

Markers: REMOVABLE MARKERS - you will need around 48 REMOVABLE markers. They must be removable because we are going to move them in the middle of doing other things. Removable markers are the ones that look like baby diaper pins.

Needles: Size 7 circulars 24” & 40”, or even longer if you like to spread out.
