Something old, something new…. An old lace panel from a crochet book no longer in print… The very trendy corner-to-corner….

In this shawl I combined the old and the new to create a very special shawl. The shawl doesn’t have a border and it doesn’t need one either. The corner-to-corner ensures a beautiful, sturdy shape. You only need to block the edges of the lace panels.

For the shawlette you will require about 200g of sock weight yarn. Follow the pattern up to Lace Panel 2.

For the shawl, you will require 400g – 500g of sock weight yarn. Follow the pattern up to Corner to Corner Panel 4, as far as you can go. With 400g yarn, I managed to do 7 rows of the corner to corner and it was quite sufficient to finish off the shawl. If I had more yarn, I would have done the entire 20 rows of the corner to corner panel.
