Shifting Shapes Star Shawl

This shawl starts out as a circle then shifts into a hexagon then shifts again into triangles that look like diamonds. When the piece is finished it creates a star. I used a 24” US 6 for the entire piece. You start with only 9 stitches and it slowly grows to over 500 stitches. If you know how to knit, purl and decrease then you can easily make this shawl.
The best part is that it stays in place when you wear it. Some people are substituting Dream in Color’s Smooshy yarn (at least three skeins will be needed). Hope you like this design - it is my favorite so far. xo
