These are a fun way to use up the gorgeous sock yarn scraps we all have sitting in stash - without knitting an entire mitten on small needles :-)

Basic DK mittens with a little lace detail providing the peekabo make for a fun knit -- and a cool surprise poking out from beneath a dark winter coat sleeve.

The pattern is easy to modify for an alternate weight yarn either on the top or the bottom, and you can also decide to make fingerless mitts or gloves if you prefer.
