Simple Gloves – 4 Variations
A versatile Plain Glove Pattern in four styles: fingered, fingerless, convertible, and mittens — and seven sizes.
Worked in the round from the bottom up in Jamieson’s of Shetland DK and stockinette stitch. Perfect for those starting glove knitting or for adding your own custom designs.
Convertible flaps are knitted separately and grafted on for a neat finish.
MATERIALS
Yarns
Jamieson’s of Shetland DK, 100% pure Shetland wool, DK, 75m (82yds) / 25g (0.9oz) ball. The sample was knitted with #462 Ginger.
Needles
1 set of DPNs size 3.5mm (US 2, UK 12, Japan 2-3) or size needed to obtain tension.
1 set of DPNs size 3.25mm (US 1.5, UK 12-13, Japan 0-1) or size needed to obtain tension.
Other accessories
• 2 stitch markers
• Waste yarn
• Yarn needle
• 2 x buttons (& crochet hook to make a crochet loop) if you are making the convertible gloves.
Tensicon
24 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm (4 in) using large needles in st st.
