The Soaring Hearts Shawl is an easy and super fun project that makes a perfect gift for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or any day that you want to spread the love! You can crochet it using two colors or an entire rainbow of hearts!

This pattern includes 5 PDF’s!

  1. The main pattern that includes supplies needed, gauge and abbreviated instructions for mini C2C.
  2. The line-by-line written instructions.
  3. Photo tutorial for making a tassel.
  4. One page graph
  5. Four page graph (larger and easier to see)

An EXAMPLE of the line-by-line written instructions are as follows:

B – Blue (Main Color)
W – White (Secondary Color)

→ Row 1 WS: 1B (1 block)
← Row 2 RS: 2B (2 blocks)
→ Row 3 WS: 3B (3 blocks)
← Row 4 RS: 4B (4 blocks)
→ Row 5 WS: 2B, 1W, 2B (5 blocks)
← Row 6 RS: 2B, 2W, 2B (6 blocks)

This pattern uses Mini C2C, which is half double crochets instead of the standard double crochets. You can certainly use the double crochets, however, please know that your finished shawl will turn out larger than the 64” width x 32” height using the Mini C2C.

With this pattern, you can customize the size to some extent. You can make a shawlette or a child sized shawl simply by stopping when it is large enough. You can make a larger shawl by using the double crochets instead of the recommended half double crochets.

The tassels are optional, but a photo tutorial has been included in case you would like to make some without using a tassel maker.
