Solange sie konnte, war meine Grossmutter väterlicherseits bei uns die unangefochtene Socken-Strick-Königin.
Das Muster, nach dem sie gestrickt hat, hat sich vor allem dadurch bewährt, dass der Schaft bei diesem Modell sehr viel weniger runterrutscht als bei anderen Modellen und die Passform gut und
für jeden Fuss geeignet ist.
Dank meiner Mama, die das Muster vor Jahren einmal aufgeschrieben hat, ist es uns erhalten geblieben und in Erinnerung an meine Oma gab’s denn auch nur einen passenden Namen für diese Anleitung: Emmi.

Grössen: jede Grösse strickbar, auch Kindersocken
Verbrauch: für Erwachsene 70-100g Sockenwolle, passendes Beilaufgarn
Nadelstärke: 2.5 - 3mm
Sonstige Hilfsmittel: Schere, Wollnadel

As long as she was able to knit my grandmother was our family’s unchallenged queen of sock knitting.
The pattern she was following has proved itself especially helpful because the cuffs of these socks stay on your legs and do not slide down and the socks fit really well and can be knit in any size.
Thanks to my mum who wrote a rough version of the pattern down a few years ago it is still with us and in memory of my grandma we all agreed that there was only one suitable name for this pattern: Emmi.

Sizes possible: Any size, easily adaptable to child size
Yarn: For adult size 70-100g of 4ply sock yarn
optional: matching reinforcing thread
Needles: DPNs or circular needle in size 2.5 to 3mm (US size 0 to 2)
Other: Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers
