For another opportunity to try knitting peasant heels, look no further than the Sonora Cacti Socks. These socks are similar to the Avo Toast socks not only in the heel, but also in their use of a simple two color motif. They are also worked from the cuff to the toe.

Yarn Fiber Seed Sprout Sock (90% superwash merino wool, 10% nylon; 510 yd 466 m/4¾ oz 136 g): #S013 pinegrove (dark green; MC), #S060 inchworm (lime green; CC1), and #S050 coral (red; CC2), 1 skein each.

Needles Size 2 (2.75 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); waste yarn for heel; tapestry needle.
