ABOUT THE PATTERN

Split Stone is a slightly cropped, boxy sweater with drop shoulders and bracelet-length sleeves. It is designed to be super-wearable, featuring special details, such as eyelet ribbed trims and a rolled edge on the neck trim. The star of the show is a stepped, knit/purl design that travels across the sides of the sweater.

The lower section of this sweater is constructed, bottom-up, in the round. The chest and the upper back are knitted flat before joining at the shoulders. The sleeves are picked up around the armholes and knitted in the round.

It is knitted in Blacker Yarn’s Lyonesse DK, a glorious blend of linen and wool that is a joy to knit with. This yarn is beautifully soft and smooth with excellent stitch definition, making any texture work really shine. If you wish to use an alternative yarn, any DK yarn with good stitch definition will work well.
