Penny Pig is playing in the spring sunshine. This pig is knitted in stockinette, and uses simple increases and decreases for shaping.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the pig is knitted in DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the pig’s tail is an i-cord tube worked on two DPNs.

NEEDLES
A pair each of 3mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 2.5)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK (55% Merino Wool, 33% Acrylic, 12% Cashmere), one 50g skein.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, beads for eyes and a felt fabric flower to decorate.

SIZES
One size only - 22cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, a kfb increase, and ssk and k2tog decrease, and seaming to finish.
