This stunning starburst pattern makes great use of variegated yarn.
this is an easy to knit but very effective design, created by the simple use of short rows. The thick felt protects your surfaces making these place mats and coasters a decorative and useful addition to your table.

These mats are knitted first in pure wool and then felted in an ordinary washing machine. Don’t worry! My pattern includes detailed instructions for felting your project.

My clear and detailed 4 page pattern clearly introduces how to knit short rows and contains detailed instructions to guide you step by step through, knitting, and felting your mat.
