This is based on the “Age of Brass and Steam” shawlette by Orange Flower Yarn. The original is beautifully simple, but it is knit. And I have yet to win my battles with the pointy sticks, no matter how much I wish otherwise. So, I took it upon myself to turn this into a crochet pattern. This pattern is wonderful because you can make it as large or small as you’d like just by adding repeats of the pattern.

This can be made with any yarn/hook combination as long as it will result in a nice drape for the fabric. Of course, this can require more yarn and/or result in a larger or smaller finished piece. That’s the beauty of this pattern, it doesn’t really matter. The green one is just about 43” wide and 19” to the point. it’s a little smaller than my usual, but it’s still a great size.
