Step On is an easy toe-up crochet sock pattern made with simple stitches and a short row heel. Written in 6 sizes, they are easy to adjust to fit and you can make each sock as long as you choose!

A free version of this pattern, in adult size small, is also available on the Dora Does website

Skills
This is a beginner friendly sock pattern, worked using mostly single crochet (UK double crochet) with half double (UK half treble) worked in the back loop only for the cuff.
You will need to work in both sides of a chain, work in rows and rounds, pick up stitches from previous rows.
A photo guide is included for the toe and short row heel.

Sizing
The pattern is written in size sizes from Toddler (UK 8-10J, EU 28-30, US 10-12) to Large Adult (UK 10-12, EU 43-45m US 12-14). With so much variation on foot size, guidance is also given throughout the pattern on how to customise the fit and where to try on your sock!

Materials
The pattern is worked using a 4mm for the body, and a 3.5mm hook for the toe and cuff.
Any 4ply / sock yarn which meets gauge can be used with this pattern. Depending on the foot size and the length of sock you choose to work, you will need between 50g / 200m and 175g / 700m for a pair.
The examples shown are worked in a size XS using Paintbox Socks in Bon Bon and Knitcraft 2 of a Kind (now discontinued).
