Stillhouse is a cozy vest with a distinct cable, knit in Brooklyn Tweed’s gorgeous new chunky tweed, Quarry.

Layered, twisted lines provide eye catching detail and give a flattering centered focus to an otherwise simple vest. Deep ribbing and a cowl make it cozy. Plus, a vest is the perfect thing to throw on when you’d be cold outside but don’t want to be hot inside. The bold vertical lines, short length and sleeveless style also allow for flattering proportions, and visible arms and hips balance the silhouette. It’s classic and modern at the same time, and looks great with skinny jeans and a plaid shirt.

I’ve called it Stillhouse after a distillery I visited in Green Point, Brooklyn. I loved the name, the whisky, and the cocktails at this place, and it was a hip, modern joint in a historic part of Brooklyn – which seemed kind of perfect for these cables, in this yarn, on this design – plus it’s a nod to Brooklyn Tweed as well.
