Cumulonimbus clouds pile up against a darkening sky and catch the low-setting sun, flushing pink. Knit this squishy stormy cowl in a similar colourway, or change the weather and choose sky-blue for the darkest colour with grey and white for the clouds.

Uses 3 x 100g skeins of Malabrigo Rios merino (or similar DK/worsted weight) in 3 coordinating colours which vary in tone from dark, mid, and light. Sample used colours Pearl Ten (dark), Nimbus Gray (mid), and Valentina (light).

You will need 3.5mm needles, and a spare needle for the kitchener seam at the end (unless you’re using a pair of straights). You will also need a small amount of waste yarn in a similar gauge, and a tapestry needle.

Size is a generous 18 inches wide x 11 inches tall, laid flat.
