PATTERN INFORMATION
Stormy Monday is a triangular, bias knit shawl in five shades of grey - from soft light grey to charcoal. You start knitting from the bottom lace edge, with the lightest colour, gradually decrease stitches at the top edge forming a triangle, and end at the right tip with the darkest colour.
My inspiration for the shawl was the name and the colourway of the gradient yarn I used, Stormy Monday, from Woo Sheeps Etsy shop.

Size
One size
Wingspan: 178 cm/71 in
Depth at the widest point: 62 cm/25 in

Gauge
(measured after blocking)
Lace pattern: 1 pattern repeat of 12 sts = 6 cm/2.5 in
Garter stitch: 20 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm/4 in
The gauge is not crucial for this project, but any differences will affect yarn amount needed and finished size.

Needles
4 mm/US 6 circular needle, at least 80 cm/32 in long (main needle)
5 mm/US 8 circular needle, at least 80 cm/32 in long (larger needle, for cast on only)

Yarn
5 skeins of fingering yarn, 200 m/220 yds each:
Colour 1 = very light grey, Colour 2 = light grey, Colour 3 = medium grey, Colour 4 = dark grey, Colour 5 = charcoal
I used Woo Sheeps Angus gradient yarn in Stormy Monday colourway (set of 5 skeins in shades of grey
from very light grey to charcoal, 75% merino, 25% nylon, 212 m/232 yds per 50 g skein, 1060 m/1159 yds per set of 5 skeins. Use yarn that blocks well.

Skills needed
