For this pattern I used:

Yarn & Amounts: Two 100g hanks of Purl &Jane Masham Mashup Aran (75% Bluefaced Leicester wool & 25% Masham, 160m/174yds per 100g).

Metres/Yardage: approx. 300m

Needles: 4.5mm double pointed needles.

Gauge (tension): 20 stitches and 26 rows to 10cm/4ins square over stocking stitch using 4.5mm needles.

Size: this sock fits all feet sizes with a simple adjustment tat is shown in the pattern.

My design idea and advice: These socks use the same pattern as the Bempton Jumper and Bempton Mittens. My favourite cable and rib pattern. Knitted in aran weight yarn, they are great for beginners as quicker to knit up than sock weight socks, and for all knitters and non-knitters to wear and snuggle up in to make winter evenings feel warm and cosy.
