Capelet is worked in the round from the top down, starting with the smaller circular needle. The optional longer circular needle may be more comfortable when more than 300 stitches are in each round.

The sampler lace pattern is not charted, but is written out. The stitch count between markers is indicated at the end of each increase round, making this a good “first lace garment”.

A “Crochet-off” technique is used to bind the stitches off with a bit of lace.
