This wrap is named in honour of a very dear friend who passed away suddenly a few days ago. He was always very encouraging and interested in my designing adventure and he will be sorely missed. This one’s for you Stuart.

This is an oversized wrap (to suit me!) made from a cake of Skye Mandala Yarn which is around a heavy 4ply weight. It is worked from the top down and has 3 distinct sections. Each section can be adjusted to be longer or shorter according to your preference. It can be made in any yarn but the yarn you choose will obviously affect the outcome of the design. I’ll leave it up to you to decide how many stitches you need for your chosen yarn – but you will need a multiple of 24sts + 1 to make all the patterns work.

Using the yarn and the number of stitches suggested your wrap will be approximately 48cm x 216cm. This is very easily adjusted by chaining more or less stitches to start and working more or less rows of each pattern to suit.

As well as the Skye Mandala yarn, this pattern has also been worked in lace yarn using 330g of Katia Stella, 180g of fine 4ply and 400g of Lanka Grossa, Shades of Alpaca Silk. Any yarn would be suitable.

I hope you enjoy my pattern.
