Textured Headband Slouch Hat Cowl Crochet Pattern Big Button Toddler Adult Child Advanced

Keep it as a headband, or finish it as a slouch hat/cowl combo! Includes a photo tutorial and sized for adult, child and toddler!

Skill Level: Experienced

Materials:
• Red Heart Super Saver, 364 yds (333 m) 7 oz (198g), (Toddler/Youth-1 ball, Adult-2 balls)
• Crochet Hook Size 5.0mm and 6.5mm
• Yarn Needle
• Stitch Marker
• one 30-40mm button
• two 15-20mm buttons or beads (optional)

Sizes: Toddler, Youth, Adult
Measurements (un-stretched): Toddler- 18”; Youth- 19.5”; Adult- 21”

Abbreviations Used: Ch=chain, Sl st=slip stich, Sc=single crochet, Hdc=half double crochet, Dc=double crochet, Tr=Treble/Triple Crochet, Rsc=Reverse Single Crochet, 3tr Cluster=3 Triple Crochet Cluster,

Special Stitches Used:

3tr Cluster=yarn over (yo) twice, insert the hook into the next stitch, yarn over, draw the yarn through the stitch, yarn over, draw the yarn through the first 2 loops on the hook, yarn over, draw the yarn through the next 2 loops on the hook. (Two loops remain on the hook). Repeat from 2 more times. (4 loops on the hook) Yarn over, draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.

Sc around back post=Insert your hook from back to front between the posts of the first and second stitch in the row below, and then from front to back again between the posts of the second and third stitches. Yarn over and draw the yarn around the post of the stitch (2 loops on hook), yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook.

Rsc (Reverse Single Crochet or Crab Stitch)= Insert the hook, from front to back, in the next stitch to the right. (Right side of your work facing you). Yarn over and draw the yarn through the stitch. Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook. Repeat in each stitch across the row.

Berry Stitch=Insert your hook in the next stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop (2 loops on hook). Yarn over and draw through the 1st loop on your hook, 3 times. Yarn over and draw through both loops on hook. Pull the bulge to the front of your work.
