Who doesn’t love a slouchy beret, especially when knit from that little bit of luxury yarn you’ve stashed away for a special project? This casual topper is worked up in an uncomplicated knit & purl pattern, creating a surprising amount of texture for such simple stitches.

The hat was originally knit from the now discontinued Sugarbunny yarn from Knit Picks, which is 70% wool and 30% angora, but any lovely, soft, squishy worsted or heavier dk weight yarn will do, so it was re-knit in Plymouth Yarn’s Angora. Cashmere would be another suggestion!

This pattern includes sizing for both children and adults-- so one for you and one for that sweet girl in your life, too. Enjoy!
