The Owl Bean is a cute baby owlet amigurumi that makes a perfect desk-mate or paperweight! He is crocheted with yarn held doubled and works up very quickly. Make him as a gift for a friend or family member who adores owls!

Beginner. Requires familiarity with stitches used (below).

Stitches/Terms (US Terms):
magic ring (MR), chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), sc (single crochet), hdc (half double crochet), dc (double crochet), dc-inc (double crochet increase; 2 dc in one st)

Materials:

• Medium weight (4) Caron Simply Soft yarn in body (off-white tweed), pouch (bone), and wing (brown) colors. Scraps of orange yarn are needed for the beak.
• 3.75 mm hook
• 12mm plastic safety eyes
• Fiberfill stuffing and dry beans (I used pinto beans)
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
