The button pullover, a cute, easy to wear pullover with knit in faux buttons. A garter stitch border frames the buttons and is also used for the neckline cuffs and forms a side slit. If you are intimidated by the “buttons”, instructions are given for straight garter stitch as well. Then, simply add your own buttons!

Madeline Tosh Vintage worsted weight 220 yards 6 (6,7,7, 8) skeins 100% super wash merino wool: Winter Wheat Approximately 100 yards of a contrast yarn for the “buttons”: Charcoal

Supplies Needed

Needles – # 9 Needles The neck is knit with straight needles. #9 double point needles for the “button” Please remember that after knitting up your swatch, your needle size may change.
Tapestry Needle for working ends in.
Gauge- 4 stitches = 1” or 16 sts. = a 4 in square in Stockinette Stitch using a #9 needle Your needle size may vary so, knit a swatch first.

Sizes = XS,S, M, L, XL Actual Length 23, 23, 24, 24, 25.5 inches Actual Width = 41, 45, 49, 53, 57 inches This pullover has a positive ease of approximately 4-6 inches in width.
