The best thing about this towel is that it virtually folds itself! The finished product measures about 14” at the widest point and about 20” long when the button on the hanging loop is fastened. The hanging loop is sized to fit an average oven handle.

The main pattern is for the hanging towel with 3/4” button. Variations are included for making a flat towel (without the hanger) and for different sized buttons (The button in the picture is actually 1 1/4”). Also included is a variation guide to adjust the length of the hanging loop. Any special stitches required to complete the pattern are also in the instructions.

All instructions use American terminology and standard abbreviations.

Supplies needed:
about 5-6 oz (250-275 yds) worsted weight cotton yarn
size I-9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook
size H-8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook (optional but recommended)
yarn needle and/or traditional sewing needle for weaving in ends and attaching button
stitch markers or scraps of yarn for counting rows
one button in your choice of color and size.
