The stitch is Linen Stitch, but not as we know it. Usually used to knit an exceptionally dense fabric, doubling the needle size suddenly takes us in to uncharted lacy territory. Let’s call it Expanded Linen Stitch. Knitting it in lace weight linen trebles the linen content - hence “Treble Linen”.

Knitted from a single skein of Artisan Yarn’s lovely Linen Lace hand dyed with madder by Ann. This cowl is the perfect travel project, as it is small and lightweight – it fits in to a large pencil case or make up pouch, especially as it is knitted in the round on circular needles. An ideal summer knit, as it won’t be hot and sticky on your lap while you make it. Great for wearing all year round, as linen is a bit magic that way. Also great for those with wool allergies. It can be worn as a single length, or twisted to double up.

Instructions are clearly written and have been fully tested and tech edited. They are laid out so that you can print page by page; only the parts you need. There is an extensive notes section to help you on your way with links out for useful information.
