  1. Afghan is made from 4 Large Squares sewn together following a diagram.

  2. Each Large Square is made from 4 smaller squares. After the first small square is made, stitches are worked along one edge of the previous square to begin the next small square.

  3. A border is worked around the outside edge of the Afghan.

  4. Use a new ball of yarn to begin each Large Square. Partially unwind the ball of yarn so that you can begin each Large Square at the same point in color sequence.
