Unintended is a lacy cardigan knit in a luxurious merino/silk/cashmere sport weight yarn: Madelinetosh Pashmina. It is knit from the top down, beginning with the neck ribbing and continuing on to neck short rows and contiguous shoulder seams. The straight, high neckline sets this cardigan apart from more typical crew neck garments. The two fronts and back section are knit separately and joined at the underarms. This lace cardigan also includes top-down set in sleeves, which are picked up from the armhole. Short rows are used to shape the neckline as well as the shoulder caps. This pattern includes instructions for three lengths of sleeves: short, elbow-length and long. The lace pattern at the end of the sleeves rounds out the cardigan for an overall luxurious look.
