I have a lot of single skeins of hand dyed sock yarn and wondered if I could stretch one far enough to make a shawl. Urban shawl is the result!

Using a simple one row repeat to create a lightly textured fabric, you can choose whether to add the picot border with optional beading.

The result is a simple practical shawl from a pattern that’s perfect for stash-busting!

4th July 2013 - I have updated the file to include instructions for the ruffled border as well as the picot border - enjoy!
