These socks came about when I wanted the look of a short row heel in a contrasting colour but with the fit of a gusset. I really didn’t want to break up the colours of my yarn or get pooling, so I experimented with using a combination of a mini-gusset and a short row heel turn and found the perfect fit that just ‘pops’ onto my foot! I use this sock construction all the time now to get my perfect fit.

These are great for minimising pooling or colour changes caused by increasing stitches and are also a fun way to use up small amounts of yarn. Sizes available are small, medium and large (7”,8” and 9” foot circumference). The sock is toe up.
