“Jumper with a touch of feminine interest for the little girl who likes to look pretty.” From Stitchcraft magazine, May 1963.

In 4 sizes for children of approx. 4-10 years, to fit 23/25/27/29 inch chest. Length from shoulders, 14.5/15.5/16.5/17.5 inches, sleeve seam length, 11/12/13/14 inches.

Uses 6/7/78 oz. Patons Cameo Crepe, suggested colour Beau Blue 189. Other materials: No. 10 and No 12 needles (2.75 mm and 3.25 mm), a 4-inch zipper and scraps of contrasting wool or embroidery cotton for yoke detail.

The jumper is knitted in pieces from the bottom up with a zipper fastening at the back neck. The pattern is a reverse-st st rib (p5, k1 on RS.) The front yoke addsrows of plain stocking-stitch to make “squares” which are decorated with large embroidered cross-stitches in a contrasting colour.
