Difficulty Easy

Finished Size 47” wide and 31” long, excluding fringe. Poncho shown on model with 32” bust.

Yarn Lana Grossa Cool Wool Alpaca (70% virgin wool, 30% alpaca): #07 light gray, 12 balls. Yarn distributed by Trendsetter Yarns.

Needles Size 8 (5 mm): 40” circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers; tapestry needle; crochet hook for attaching fringe; two 1” buttons.

Gauge 18 sts and 30 rows = 4” in double moss st.

Note This poncho is worked back and forth from the bottom up in separate pieces and seamed. The neck opening is edged with ribbing that is worked with the main piece. A buttonhole and button on each side can be used to create armholes. The back and front are worked slightly differently so that the double moss stitch pattern flows nicely over the shoulders.
