Volt Mitts are simple 2-tone stranded fingerless mittens featuring lightening stripes and an afterthought thumb. In 4 sizes, these mitts have a 6.75”/17cm (7.75”/20cm, 9”/23cm, 10”/25cm) circumference at the widest point. No long carries are required to execute this stranded colour work.

The pattern show the motif in a chart and has written instructions with some abbreviations to explain the garment construction. Stranded Colourwork Tips included.

Materials:
Yarn: 120 yards/110 meters each of 2 colours worsted weight yarn, such as Manos del Uruguay Maxima “Foil”(MC) and “Highlighter”(CC)
Tools:
US6(4mm) Double Pointed Needles; US8(5mm) Double Pointed Needles; (or size to meet gauge, or equivalent needles for magic looping); Stitch Marker; Scrap Yarn; Tapestry Needle.

Gauge:
18 sts/21 rows over 4” in stranded stockinette with larger needles, knit in the round and blocked.

Please note: Many people find their gauge when stranding in the round to be different than flat stockinette stitch. If gauge is not met, size will be effected.
