Small cylindrical beads made by some North American Indian peoples from shells, strung together and worn as decoration or used as money. “strings of wampum”

Needles: Size 2.5 to 3 or 3mm to 3.25mm needles, or whatever size needle that achieves guage for you. Please check your gauge before you start. You may want to use a smaller needle size for the brim.
Gauge: 7 stitches/inch x 7 rows/inch
Notions: a stitch marker, scissors, yarn needle or crochet hook
Yarn: approx 200 yards worsted weight yarn. (150yds MC, 50yds CC)
