This is a lovely convertible item that can be a poncho, a shawl, a wrap, or a scarf! The use of buttons along the side of the garment lends itself to many different styles.

Knit in Lion Brand Mandala baby yarn, the self striping nature of the yarn makes for a visually beautiful garment. But, if you’re not enamoured of the colors in the Mandala yarns, you can make this gorgeous poncho wrap in a solid color as well.

Finished Garment Sizing: approx 74” x 23”

Model is 4’11” tall, 35” bust, and wears a size small top. Because the garment is a large rectangle, it is easily adjustable to fit any size for size inclusivity! For a taller person, simply add multiples of 8 st to create a wider wrap (and therefore longer front when worn as a poncho). For plus sizes, simply add to the length of the rectangle until poncho hangs comfortably! It is really that simple!

To create the garment as pictured, I used Lion Brand Mandala Baby in color way Echo Caves. Mandala baby is 100% acrylic, 590 yds per skein, Weight 3 Light Worsted/DK. It took about 2.5 - 2.75 cakes to create the garment shown, which is between 1500 - 1600 yrds. Therefore, 3 cakes or 1770 yards would be enough to make most sizes of the poncho wrap.

For the fastening, I used 5 buttons evenly spaced, but you can use more or less buttons to create the closure for your poncho.
