This is a simple but practical neck warmer for kids. It has a ribbed upper part which hugs the neck softly and keeps it warm, while the rib lets it to slip around the head easily. It also has two flat parts hanging down to keep the chest and the back warm, even when those little ones are working hard to see everything from the baby carrier, or when later they are swinging or playing on monkey bars. It can be tucked under a coat or cardigan, and there’s no big knot or tie that might disturb them in free motion.

It’s knitted from top to bottom. The upper part is worked in the round, the hanging parts are worked in flat. It’s a really easy pattern, you only have to be able to cast on, knit, purl, increase and bind off.
