Inspired by the book, play, and musical Spring Awakening, the “Wendla” hat pays tribute to the story’s leading female character, Wendla Bergman. She begins her story under strict traditions and tight German braids, but over the course of spring, she learns to loosen her locks and open up with the budding flowers. Knit in a light violet, tweedy yarn, this hat embodies Wendla’s girlhood spent in the German countryside.
