Willikins is an asymmetrically-shaped triangle shawl that is worked in garter stitch with an I-cord edging.
It begins with a handful stitches in the corner and grows as it is worked, allowing the knitter to make the shawl smaller or larger if they like! The I-cord edging, which is created as the shawl is knit, makes for a polished, stable edge that won’t curl.
The I-cord edge and the garter stitch body let the yarn shine. This simple design is perfect for stripes (as shown) or variegated or hand painted yarns.

This pattern assumes the knitter knows basic techniques such as knitting, working a flat project, casting on, and changing colors. Slightly more advanced techniques are used to create the I-cord edging and bind off.

The shawl measures 61”x71”x31”.
