This shawl is about a brightly coloured sail, a nice breeze, sunshine and of course water. It is constructed as a triangle from the top down starting with a garter stitch section followed by a border of droplets and picot cast off. This is a cheery knit with a pattern that is easy to memorise. The instructions are given row for row and are easy to adjust.

You will need approx. 75g each of 2 yarns in fingering weight and although I recommend a solid colour for the border, the “sail” is pretty much your canvas to paint any way you wish. Speckle, variegated, gradient and solid yarns will all give great results so have some fun!
