Hi! This is a pattern I have designed myself. It was inspired by the smiley stripey spidenr that appears on the UK Cebeebies channel - Woolly & Tig. Tig is a nervous pre-schooler and her soft toy spider - Woolly - comes to life and gives her reassurance when she is anxious about events in her day to day life. My children love Woolly the spider and wanted their very own. I couldn’t find one in the shops so I got the crochet hooks out and set to work…

I hope you find the pattern easy to understand. Although I am English I crochet using American terminology. I would estimate about 50g of mid blue yarn and 25g each of navy, red and yellow. Woolly took me about 7 hours to make - lets hope the kids appreciate him!
