The pattern I’ve written is done with two strands of yarn, I’ve used bulky/dk and worsted/worsted so far. It can be done in any combination. The needle size is approximate but will depend on what yarn(s) you use.

The pattern shows for a band that’s knitted and then sewn together but this can be done with the kitchener stitch or even with buttons if you don’t want to slip it on and off.
