DESIGNER NOTES:
1) When switching from knit stitches to purl stitches (and vice versa), always work the first stitch tightly.

2) The garter ridges in this garment are specifically placed to provide shaping and structure to the fabric. Where they are more closely spaced, the fabric is denser, and where there are few or none, the fabric is more open and relaxed. To add more give in the garment, change select garter ridges to Stockinette Stitch.

3) Although this sweater is only one size, it is generous and forgiving. It will fit loosely on a small person, and snugly on a larger person, and, if necessary, the Back pleat can be left off making the sweater larger through the shoulders and neck. If the Back pleat is not made, then extra stitches must be picked up for the neck finishing.
