“Zamboni” are the perfect mittens to wear while living in New England to walk the dog, ice skate or sled since they are crazy warm due to the thrums.

This pattern can be downloaded on Ravelry or on helenbinghamdesigns.com. If you live in the area, I am teaching a class on how to make these mittens at Slater Mill in Pawtucket this February. Which is why they are on sale till the end of the Knitting Weekend at the Mill.

IF you want to substitute a yarn you could use any thick worsted weight or take a DK weight and hold it doubled throughout the mitten.

Have fun and stay warm! xo
