A zee-licious, graphic eyelet lace, knit-in-the-round cowl that can be knit big enough to double around your neck or in a wider single loop for a lush, loose cowl that drapes gracefully, or in a cozy stovepipe cowl.

Gauge: 17 sts. x 24 rows. While gauge in this design is not critical, the sizes given determine the yarn needed.

Half a dozen samples knit in different yarns will inspire you, if you prefer to customize your Zee Cowl. Or stashbust!

Materials:
Drops Big Merino in “Anthracite”
- 3 balls for 26” diam x 13” loop; or

madelinetosh DK in “Undergrowth”
- 2 hanks for stovepipe 28” x 18”.; or

Jade Sapphire 12-ply Cashmere in “Ivory 000”
- 4 hanks for 30” x 14”; or

Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles in “Typewriter” and Kidsilk Lace in “Urchin”
- 1 hank of each for 30” x 19” loop; or

Plucky Knitter Snug Worsted “ in “Chantilly” and Hedgehog Merino Singles in “Bubble”
- 1 hank of each for double loop 66” x 9”.

Just to name a few possibilities.

Needles:
For single loop: One US 9-10/5.5-6mm 24”/60cm circular needle.
For double loop: One US 9-10/5.5-6mm 32-40”/80-100cm circular needle.
For either cowl: One circular needle 1-2 sizes smaller for ribbing and one 1-2 size larger needle for binding off.
One stitch marker
